Your First Visit

When should I arrive?
It's best to arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment in order to fill out paperwork before seeing the doctor.

What should I take to my first appointment?
Be sure to bring your insurance card as well as a list of any medications that you are currently taking.

How long will it take and what should I expect?
The first visit usually lasts for about an hour. In this time, you will meet the doctor who will obtain your history and assess your needs. Patients may also have x-rays taken during this first visit. The doctor will evaluate your x-rays and review them with you. After your exam and x-rays, the doctor will then perform a hands-on adjustment.   Your next appointment will only take about 10-15 minutes.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing such as a t-shirt and sweat pants. If possible, avoid wearing anything that contains metal (such as zippers, snaps, or hooks). If you do this, you will be able to wear your own clothing for x-rays. If you're not able to do this, we will provide you with the appropriate clothing.

Is there paperwork to fill out beforehand?
The amount of paperwork depends upon your specific insurance company. All patients will be required to read over the "Notice of Privacy Practices" and fill out a "Patient Information Form." These are provided in the links below. You may read the "Notice of Privacy Practices" before you arrive for your appointment. If you would like to fill out the "Patient Information Form" ahead of time you may print it out and bring it with you to your appointment.
